The lithograph Possession expresses an aura that is both disturbing and enigmatic, evoking the fusion between nature and the human spirit, and the domination of invisible forces. The central figure, made of branches and roots, grows in disorder; it is a half-vegetable, half-human creature, possessed by nature itself.

The deep roots anchored in the ground symbolize an inexorable connection with the earth, while the distorted branches and projecting thorns suggest pain and constraint, as if this figure were imprisoned or tormented by a larger energy. She seems to extend an arm toward a glowing, threatening sun, symbolizing a desire to reach for something powerful, perhaps dangerous.

The dark, earthy colours reinforce the idea of ​​an inner struggle, of a being prey to an invasive force that consumes its essence and transforms it. Possession explores the loss of control, the influence of external elements that take root deep within us and modify our nature.
