The lithograph Le Bien & le Mal depicts a dualistic vision of the world, where the central yin and yang symbolize the balance between opposing forces. The composition, split into two contrasting parts, explores the light and dark dimensions of human existence, nature and society.

On the left, the universe of good is represented by elements of peace, growth, and harmony. Green landscapes, clear skies, and objects symbolizing peaceful technological progress evoke an orderly and serene world. The human figures, all identical and in search of light, walk forward, symbolizing a society united in prosperity and harmony with nature.

On the right, the world of evil is composed of dark tones, chaotic objects and scenes of destruction. Symbols of death, fire and ruin are seen. The collapsed buildings, skulls and flames recall the dark aspects of humanity: greed, violence and destruction. Here, the figures seem prisoners of their environment, as if they were condemned to wander in a world marked by suffering and chaos.

Good & Evil encourages reflection on the balance needed between these two forces to maintain harmony. Each part of the work is a facet of the world and the human soul, emphasizing that duality exists within each of us. This work reminds us that good and evil are not simply opposite extremes but interdependent elements, whose interaction shapes our reality and our understanding of existence.
