The lithograph Duality explores the complexity and contrasts of human existence by opposing two diametrically different universes: light and shadow, life and death, peace and chaos. At the center, a human figure suspended between two worlds, arms outstretched, symbolizes the meeting point between these opposing forces. His translucent body seems to absorb the energies from each side, illustrating a quest for balance within duality.

On the left, a bright, sun-drenched landscape, majestic mountains and symbols of life, such as birds and flowering plants, represent vitality, growth and hope. This side evokes peace and harmony with nature, an ideal vision of existence.

On the right, dark hues and flames mingle with tormented clouds, reminiscent of a ruined world where gothic structures and mysterious silhouettes accentuate the aura of mystery and danger. This side seems to embody suffering, loss and inner darkness, symbols of the trials and fears that each of us carries within.

Duality invites us to contemplate the constant struggle between these two forces within each individual, a struggle that forges human identity and experience. This work illustrates the need to accept these contrasts and to understand that light and shadow are inseparable, each revealing the essence of the other. It reminds us that true harmony lies in the recognition and acceptance of these opposing forces.
